Thats Switzerland for you, i always find it beautiful and my work takes me off the main roads a lot. Gorgeous scenery.

I used to stay at the truckstop in Muttenz a few years back, and was only talking about it today.

Today I didn't think so Mary, but yeah I do consider myself fortunate.

For the record it's off to Swiss again next week and as a result today turned in to a 'Not so Good Friday'. I was asked the other day if I minded working today to pick up the last drop for my load next week. I got to Thompson Davies, Cleckheaton at 06:50, got my loading sheet and another sheet for one we had missed yesterday for Germany. When I got them I was told that my Swiss would not be in till 08:30. After about 3 hours I was then told that Woodside Haulage had cocked up. They had my load on one of their trailers booked for delivery next Tuesday, but they did have a unit available and it would get there about 14:00.

He pulled in bang on 14:00, which resulted in me getting back to the yard at 16:20. Having left there this morning at 05:20 it worked out at an 11 hour day for 1 collection and a total of 207 kms. ;bang; ;bang; ;bang;

Truckstop ? Muttenz ?

Could this be the Camion Depot ?

This is where we clear with Nord Transport.

Cant remember if it is the camion depot, but it is very big.
you had a long walk to the canteen/pub, up a flight of steps also, in the middle of the car park. There were showers available next door (maybe that was the Camion depot?)
After the crossing at Weil Am Rhein, (Basel) you took the first or 2nd turn off the motorway to get to it.

Does exit 6 to Delemont ring any bells ?

Exit left off the A2 whilst in the tunnel, up the hill by the railway lines where you sometimes see the train to Italy, round to the right and then turn left. Entrance on the right just past Stegackerstrasse.

Restaurant upstairs, pretty expensive as with most things Swiss. Showers and khazi down the steps near the car park.
