The cost of a Cuppa

Just back on general and have noticed what some of you have been on about But the cost of a cuppa on the burger bar vans ;argh;

a £1 Christ that'
s some mark up. Glad I fill me flask before going to bed.

So what's the most any of you have said for 1 cuppa and was it that good ??

Most vans at the moment seem to be 60p whereas twelve months go it was maybe 40-50p.

Worst price has to be £1.99 in the Costas on the services but they will give you a large cup for the same price.

Tea's all the same for me as long as they let you dunk the bags for as long as you want.

Having said that one of the best brews I've had is the guy who sits at the top of the moors at J22 on the M62 He has a pot brewing continuously and then just tops your cup up with water to the strength you like. Not been there for a while so couldn't give a price.

Stopped at Little Chef on the A55 headed for Valley last week.
Parked in their car park, no problem.

Went inside to get something to eat OMG!!!

I settled on a ham omelette and chips, £6.55 but was just glad to have gotten something warm to eat after the day i ahd had.
"would you like a drink to go with that?" a cup of tea was £1.99, No thanks love, i have some water in the cab, cheers.

My tea and coffee cost the same as they do at home. I only ever make my own.
Coffee is bad from those polystyrene cups, but tea ? ..........................NO NO NO NO NO NO NO !

30 pence from vending machine at work but i also try to use a proper mug for me brew as plastic cup makes coffees taste crappy

How much do you pay for your bottle of squash dilute I pay 25p for 750mls from Asda and that does me for 2 wwks but then I'm a tight Scottish git. ;lol;

Don't think he is there anymore sadly. Certainly not seen him in ages, Was a good van that as well!!

Not the dearest, but one of the nicest is from the Corrie Kitchen butty van off junction 44 on the M6, costs 60p for a cup of tea.

Can recommend Rafters on Stakehill Industial...just off A627M. Maybe not the cheapest in town but good stuff, at a reasonable price and service with a smile. :mrgreen:
