PDU-UK aims for 2017

A Negative Mind will never give you a Positive Outcome!
Not beaten and not giving up in the hope UK Truckers might unite to improve things in the next year.

A UK Drivers to Industry Leaders National Seminar is a plan next year
An invite to those in the Industry to come and listen and talk to Drivers at a National Seminar.
A group of Drivers from differing backgrounds at the head to talk to the Industry leaders.
To talk about and debate different issues.
Only then as Drivers working with the Industry can we bring about the changes needed to improve the future.

The Seminar:-

Invites will be sent to the DfT for a Minister to attend, the RHA, FTA and around 200 leading Employers in the Industry, plus hopefully representation from the media.
Between 5 & 10 Drivers will be invited from various backgrounds, a tramper, self employed, agency and at least 1 female driver included. (new and experienced) plus someone to chair the Seminar.
From 9am to 4pm with one hour lunch break where tea and snacks will be available
9am – 10am > Introductions, from the PDU and a few minutes from each driver in attendance giving background and status.
10 – 11am > How as Drivers we want more respect and to be seen as part of the Industry to work together on the issues and our views on the future.
11 -12am > Driver hours, breaks and wages.
12 – 1pm > lunch break
1-2pm > Driver CPC
2 – 3pm > Overnight lorry parking, Driver Security, cost and payments.
3 – 4pm > The Driver Shortage, other business and questions and answer time.
Each issue will allow for Drivers to present their views and opinions and solutions and also approx. 15 minutes for Q&A
More information will follow in the new year.

People who like this sort of thing,
Will find this the sort of thing they like.
